Faery Door
A Faery (Fairy/Faerie) Door is a miniature door, often placed against a wall or the base of a tree to represent a portal between the normal world and the invisible realm of the "fae folk." There is a long and colorful history of these doors popping up in cities and other urban areas, adding a touch of magic and whimsy to an otherwise mundane environment.
These Faery Doors are intended to be symbolic altars placed within the home to serve as nexus points between our ordinary reality and that of the invisible realm. By placing them in your home, and establishing a simple regular practice of ritual, meditation, and the making of offerings, you can learn to contact the “Hidden Kingdom” and potentially increase your magical and spiritual power as a result.
Each is decorated with a faux handle and knocker, this last being adorned with an original sigil for the fae, created from the letters of their Irish-Gaelic name, "Aos Sí."
Designed and hand painted by Storm Faerywolf (author of several books on Witchcraft and Faery magic) these are crafted by Chas Bogan of Carnivalia studios. The base and frames are constructed of sturdy composite wood while the doors are inset with grained birch.
The base measures 7 1/2” long and nearly 3" wide. The door is 6 1/2” wide, is almost 8 1/4” tall and is 1/2" thick.
Comes with a tea-lite, written instructions on how to use it to make offerings, as well as a QR code you can scan for a guided meditation MP3, written and read by Storm. (Running time 31:49.)
Door does not physically open. For indoor use only.
